Etobicoke neighbourhood guide
Princess-Rosethorn
Broad residential streets, larger detached homes and generous lots, with many mid-century properties and substantial renovations.
Housing character
Detached housing dominates many streets. Expect a mix of bungalows, ranch-style homes, side-splits, two-storeys and newer custom builds. Lot and house scale can vary considerably by pocket.
Getting around
Convenient driving access toward Highways 427 and 401. TTC bus connections lead toward Line 2 stations; the interior is less transit-oriented than neighbourhoods directly on Bloor.
Setting and amenities
Ravine corridors, mature trees and nearby parks contribute to a green residential setting. Streets are generally quieter away from major roads.
Worth knowing
The spacious setting often means more driving for everyday errands, and the range of renovations and rebuilds can make street-by-street comparisons important.
Boundary note: City profile: Princess-Rosethorn. Familiar local names, real estate search areas and City statistical boundaries do not always match exactly.
